Two days after suspected Maoist had attacked a camp of Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) force located in Ranapal region of insurgency-hit Kondagaon district, Special DG (Naxal operations) DM Awasthi visited the camp and met police personnel. He also inspected the development of an under-construction bridge at Ranapal.
Notably, this week Naxals had launched a fierce attack at the company base of the 41st battalion ITBP in Ranapal area after surrounded it from three sides. According to police, four rockets were fired at the camp and both sides had exchanged about 600 rounds of bullets.
