They will have to keep a close watch on all the election related activities in their respective areas.
The Commissioner was briefing the 28 three-tier panchayat election observers on Monday.
The last date of filing of nomination papers was Monday. The scrutiny of the nomination papers is due on January 4. The candidates can withdraw nomination till January 6.
The election observers will give regular updates to the State Election Commission. The election process has to be conducted as per the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1995.
