In a difficult surgery, a team of local doctors successfully removed a large tumour (fibroids) from a woman patient’s uterus in a four-hour-long operation conducted here on Thursday.
A 28-year-old woman resident of Jharsuguda (Odisha) named, Suman was recently admitted to Mangalam Vihar Kosabadi situated Krishna Multispecialty Hospital for treatment.
Director of the Hospital and well-known Gynaecologist Dr Priti Upadhyay examined the patient and learnt about the tumour through a Sonography report. She advised the patient to soon undergo a surgery for removing the tumour.
However, the surgery was quite challenging as the doctors had to remove the tumour without causing any danger to the uterus. It took a team of three doctors led by Dr Upadhyaya to successfully perform the surgery and remove the tumour .
