Collector Dr Basavraju S. on Thursday reviewed development-block wise progress of CC road-cum-sewage line construction works carried out under ‘Mukhyamantri Gram Gaurav Path Yojana.’
The Collector, in a joint meeting of the Rural Engineering Service (RES) officials and contractors, directed the officials concerned to commence the pending works by issuing work-orders to the contractors.He asked the contractors to develop coordination with the officials concerned to ensure completion of the undertaking development works within the given time-limit. The Collector informed that the administration has made available funds to carry out the aforesaid works.
He urged the contractors to soon complete ongoing works and initiate the works, which were pending or stopped before completion.In case of not starting the undertaking works, tender of the same will be cancelled, the Collector warned the contractors. During the meet, it was learnt that as many as 156 cement concrete roads-cum-sewage lines were sanctioned in RES, Division Bemetara, under Mukhyamantri Gram Gaurav Path Yojana.
Out of this, as many as 90 works have been completed.A total of 37 works are under process while 28 works are yet to be started. Besides, one work was cancelled.The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RES, PR Thakur, the Sub-Divisional Officers (SDO) of all the departments concerned, assistant engineers and the contractors participated in the meeting.
