BJP MlAs confine min over Bajpayee builder issue

Staff Reporter

Ruling party members Devji Bhai Patel and Nand Kumar Sahu on Tuesday encircled the Revenue Minister, Dayaldas Baghel, for not taking action against the guilty officers in the Sanjay Bajpayee Builder Government land swindling issue.

The issue of Government land-grabbing by the Sanjay Bajpayee builder at Sejbahar, Doonda and Boriyakala was vehemently raised in the Assembly on Tuesday. Baghel said that none of the officers responsible for this matter would be spared. The case related to the officials of Revenue department has been handed over to Raipur commissioner for action against them. The procedure for cancelling lay out plan was under process, he added.

Devji demanded a probe by House committee in this issue. The call attention proposal was discussed amidst sloganeering by the

opposition members.  Devji Patel and Nandkumar Sahu alleged that neither criminal case registered against any Government officials, nor the Government land was freed from illegal occupation, even after the arrest of the builder.

They alleged that half of the plots in Swagat Vihar Colony were purchased by higher officers in fake names. By suspending one officer in this issue, efforts were going on to save other officers. None of the officers involved in the case has been removed so far, they added.

Terming the allegations of the MlAs baseless, the revenue minister said that Sanjay Bajpayee builder had made plots after taking illegal possession of over 200 acres of Government land. Only 9.714 hectare in all the three villages Doonda, Sejbahar and Boriakala were found under illegal possession, he added.

The minister said that case has been registered against the builder at Moudahaopara and Golbazar police stations. On the basis of the investigation report action would be taken as per rule against the guilty.
