The Chhattisgarh BJP Cooperative Cell on Monday sought action against officials involved in alleged irregularities in the Maa Mahamaya Cooperative Sugar Factory in Kerta village in Surajpur district.
Cell in-charge Devji Bhai Patel and state convenor Shashikant Dwivedi said a shortage of sugar stock worth Rs 12.36 crore was detected in the factory.
This has been confirmed by an investigation team constituted by the Cooperative Department, they said. But the state government has not initiated any action even after the submission of a report by the panel, they said.
