Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday extorted officials to work with dedication and efficiency, warning that it is the way they conduct themselves which creates or distorts the image of a government.
Baghel said this while chairing a meeting of officers in Rajpur village in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district where he discussed the government welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister underlined that even a small mistake by an officer can cost the poor heavily.
He cited the example of a woman who had to buy ration on retail for two years because her ration card was delayed. Why was not her problem addressed, asked the Chief Minister.
He directed the officials to ensure that people get all the benefits of the government schemes.
Mentioning the feedback he got in three villages in Kusmi Assembly on Wednesday, Baghel said people have a positive outlook towards the government.
One or two Gauthans should be developed into a model rural industrial park in each block as a pilot project, he said.
The Chief Minister said there was a need to rectify the minor shortcomings in all the departments. In the presence of senior officers from Raipur, he told the district officers to ensure proper implementation of the development schemes.
The Chief Minister promised to provide the officer all possible support from the government.
