With an aim to fulfilling the 'Swach Bharat, Swasth Bharat’ dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state BJP will launch a campaign where the party and the government will work in tandem to make the state neat and clean. This was stated by state BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya.
“The campaign will be launched in two phases. The first phase will be of two days and will start from August 17 while the second phase will start from August 19 and conclude on August 25. All party workers and legislators will take part in this campaign,” Maurya said while addressing media persons in lucknow on Wednesday.
The BJP leader said that the second phase of the campaign will be kicked off by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Gorakhpur. “lets’ join hands to make India clean. If we can make Uttar Pradesh spick and span, a message will traverse the country and create a positive atmosphere,” he said.
Maurya even appealed to the Opposition leaders to join hands in this campaign and not divide the nation on political lines as it was a noble cause.
