An alert has been sounded all over the state in wake of serial blasts in Patna on Sunday morning. Directions have been issued to take special measures for proposed rallies of Gurjat chief minister Narendra Modi in the state particularly in Bahraich on November 8 which is having mixed population besides being situated just adjacent on Nepal.
``Yes we gave special instructions to all the district police chief to remain on top alert soon after they get reports of serial blasts in Patna", disclosed ADG (law and order) Mukul Goel while talking to media persons here on Sunday morning. He claimed that that they also directed to take special measures and review the security measures taken in connection with Narendra Modi’s rally particularly as the serial bomb blasts in Patna took place just before Gujrat chief minister’s rally and that too around the rally ground.
According to Mukul Goel, he was personally supervising the security drill in Bahraich which is communally sensitive as well as it is situated adjacent in Nepal from where some recent development showed that the neighbouring country has been used be the ultras to operate terror activities. Reports said that now the state police will co-ordinate with senior officers of Gujrat police who reached prior to Modi’s rally to review the security drill. Extra force from the neighbouring districts will be also provided to ensure that no untoward incident took place during Modi’s rally in Bahraich.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janta Party condemned the blasts just before Modi’s rally in Gujrat and demanded the state government here to ensure that no such incident is reported here. In a statement released here on Sunday evening, BJP spokesman Manish Mishra said that SP’s soft-corner towards those involved in terror activities and move to withdraw cases against them had already boosted the morale of the subversive forces. He further said that reports of militant activities prevalent in 30 districts along with the presence of SIMI activists always created a terror of any militant activity so the state government must gear up to counter such forces. Manish Mishra claimed that blasts in
Patnajust before Modi’s rally is just as opposition parties were seeing a threat to their future as Gujrat chief minister is receiving tremendous response and Modi is all set to be voted to power by the public. BJP spokesman demanded that SP should take all kind of measures to ensure that no untoward has been reported during any of BJP’s rally as subversive forces would try to create disturbance.
