No pre=poll alliance for 2017Polls: Maya

PNS

Endorsing the exodus of Hindus from Kairana due to the myopic policies of the SP government, BSP chief Mayawati today reiterated that her party would go to the polls alone and will not have pre-poll alliance with any party in UP, Punjab and Uttarakhand.

"The sequence of events in Kairana and other places  clearly indicate that both the SP and the BJP  are in cahgoots to  foment communal strife in UP ahead of 2017 Assembly polls,’’ said Mayawati addressing party office bearers and MlAs in lucknow on Sunday.

"The BJP had tried to grab political mileage out of the exodus of Hindus from Kairana. At the same time, no one can deny that people of Kairana have left for other places as the present SP regime and the Centre failed to provide jobs  and other benefits to the youths," said Mayawati.

"The SP government has failed to counter the Kairana exodus and they danced to the tunes of the BJP. Both parties have ditched the 22 crore  population of UP by not fulfilling any promises," she said and added that the BJP should not be allowed to bring out yatras in Kairana.

The former UP Chief Minister alleged, "The SP and the BJP have colluded against the BSP and are out to fan communal frenzy to influence the next Assembly polls.’’

Mayawati however praised the media saying that it effectively thwarted the attempts of the SP and the BJP to push the state into the communal cauldron by exposing their sinister designs.’’

On the preparations of the party for the Assembly polls in three states in 2017, Mayawati said, "We are fully prepared to contest all seats in three states and confident to attain majority on our own. The BSP candidates have started campaigning in respective areas and there is no question of any alliance at present."

She alleged that both the Centre and the UP government was promoting communalism, casteism and anarchy thus adding up to the hardships being faced by Dalits, Muslims and the poor.

``After the BSP government is voted to power in 2017, the rule of law would be established and the government would unleash a new era of development in the state," she stressed.

The BSP chied alleged that the focus of the present SP regime was on giving benefits to a particular family of a particular caste of a particular region while the BJP was giving its tacit support to the SP government.

Mayawati also exhorted party leaders and candidates to dedicate themselves to their constituencies and serve the people and make them aware of the hateful designs of the SP and the BJP.

She also discussed with the party co-ordinators in a separate meeting and instructed them on the strategy to be adopted for the coming Assembly polls.
