Reiterating Samajwadi Party’s commitment to bring secular forces on one platform party’s national president Mulayam Singh Yadav said that his party, with the help of other like minded parties, would raise people-oriented issues in the forthcoming lok Sabha session.
“All the secular parties are looking towards Samajwadi Party to lead the fight against communal forces. We have done it in the past and will do the same in the future too,” Yadav said while addressing party workers here on Monday.
He said in last lok Sabh election Samajwadi Party got 1 per cent vote less as compared to last time (2009 elections). This decline in vote percentage was reflected in number of seats party won but it shows that party has not lost the faith of people.
“This faith will help us to win the 2017 assembly election. Have faith on yourself and the party. Be in touch with the people. listen to their grievances and try to solve them there and then,” he said.
Yadav said the party is on a strong footing as people have lost faith on BJP. During election campaign BJP leaders had made huge promises like bringing down corruption, giving employment to youth and bring back black money. “What happened to these promisesIJ People realize they were fooled by the party,” he said. Talking about the achievements of Akhilesh Yadav Government he said that education, health care and water for irrigation is free in UP.
Farmers’ loans have been waived and skill development schemes have been launched.
“Samajwadi Pension scheme would benefit over 40 lakh families,” he said. “This is not a small work. These projects will transform the state,” Yadav said.
