Taking cognisance of the untimely death of tigers in Dudhwa National Park, Lakhimpur within the last few days, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the officials to conduct an investigation.

The chief minister has ordered the forest minister, additional chief secretary for forest, and other officers of the Forest department to visit Dudhwa National Park immediately to conduct a thorough investigation, and then submit the report.

Sources in the forest department said that four tigers had been killed in the last three months. Body of a 6 year old tiger was found at a water hole in the Mailani range. Most astonishing death was of a two year old tiger who died of starvation as it was found with damaged canines.

One tiger’s trachea was found punctured because of infighting. Of late man-animal conflict has increased in that region as around half-a-dozen people were killed in tiger attacks.
