A case of corruption and forgery was registered in Moradabad against nine officers, including an IAS officer, for illegally allotting land to the farmers.
As per reports, sleuths of Vigilance department registered a case with Civil Lines police station against IAS officer Zuhair Bin Sagheer, the then District Magistrate of Moradabad, along with then ADM, City, AK Srivastava and seven other officers, including a lekhpal. The case was registered under sections 420/409/120B of IPC and investigations were on.
The accused were charged with allotting land to farmers. The transfer of land was made after a lekhpal forged documents.
