Sir — There has been a political slugfest in the country over the Indian Army’s surgical strike across the line of Control. Defence strategies require secrecy of military operations so that future operations can be planned. This matter should best be left to a strategic team of planners from Union Ministries like Defence, External Affairs and Home, to make videos of ‘surgical operations’, public. This should be done at an appropriate time. India has a track record of being a globally trustworthy nation. There is no need to give ‘proof’ of the surgical strike.
