Eminent litterateur and social activist Mahasweta Devi has left behind a formidable literary legacy that focused on the lives of the marginalised community. She was a towering personality and an excellent writer. She will be remembered as one of the greatest Indian women writers of our times. Mahasweta Devi used literature as a means to bring social change. She will be remembered as an out standing writer of her time and one of the foremost voice among her contemporaries.
