Sir — This refers to the article, “Falling into a trap the ISI had carefully laid” (July 19) by Ashok Malik. The NDA Government leaders and the National Security Adviser were not born yesterday to indulge in the silly Track II diplomacy that Mr Ved Pratap Vaidik alleged represented — and that too early in their tenure.
The Congress should have thought twice before accusing the NDA Government on the Vaidik affair, as the delegation that went to Pakistan included its leaders Salman Khurshid and Mani Shankar Aiyar. At this rate, we can expect that the NDA will be blamed for Track III diplomacy involving Dawood Ibrahim.
