Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Terror revisits France” (July 18) The horrific terror attack in Nice, France, is a chilling reminder that there is a possibility of such terror attacks at public places like shopping malls, airports, railway stations, holiday locales and religious places like temples, mosques and churches which are visited in large numbers.
The Government must undertake safety audit of public places by getting threat and risk assessment survey done. This will bring to light any persisting gaps and vulnerability in the safety of public places.
