Belonging to parties as diverse as the BJP and the Congress, the duo — President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have foiled Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa’s bid for the Prime Minister’s post. The Sirisena-Wickremesinghe duo can now get back to addressing Sri lanka’s domestic and external challenges. like India, expectations of the Sri lankans are high. The new Government has to meet them.
