This refers to the article, “After Bihar poll, focus on economic reforms” (November 6) by Kalyani Shankar. Given that the BJP is in a minority in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not be able to carry on with his economic reforms. The Congress was successful in blocking the functioning of the lok Sabha during the Monsoon Session, with its many obstructionist tactics.
There are chances that the BJP can improve its numbers only in 2017. Unless the BJP finds a way to banish the agitating members of the Congress, the latter will continue to run amok, stopping Parliament in its tracks.
