Sir — This refers to the article, “The importance of freedom in India” (January 9) by Hiranmay Karlekar. Essentially, there are some differences between the minorities. On the one hand, some are indigenous and on the other, some are not only a part of the global growing majority but they identify themselves with those majorities who are historically proven to be hostile to the indigenous majority.
