Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Congress’s last hope” (June 16). The Congress has always been a party of the corrupt. Starting with Mahatma Gandhi, who preferred Jawaharlal Nehru over Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in spite of the overwhelming support for the latter from the grassroots. The latest illustration of this is the party’s apporach to Congress scion Priyanka Vadra and former Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit.
