He made this statement after attending the meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar on Sunday.

“Meanwhile 34 bodies have already been cremated at Kedarnath and around 50 more which are visible on the ground are yet to be cremated. The recovery and cremation of bodies will be taken up on a war footing by a special team considering the threat of an epidemic outbreak 15 days after the calamity,” he added.

later Police head quarter (PHQ) released few pictures of cremation because different people were making different comments. It would be pertinent to mention here that a chopper, which was coming back after unloading the firewood for the cremation of dead bodies at Kedarnath, had met accident and 20 personnel including five IAF, six ITBP and nine NDRF had died.
