With the joint efforts of Special Task Force, Uttarakhand and STF Bihar, a most wanted criminal of Bihar and ex-member of Munna Shukla and Prakash Shukla gang was arrested from GMS Road, Dehradun on Wednesday.
Shambhu Singh alias Santosh Mishra alias Samir, native of Muzaffarpur, Bihar has been booked for around 42 murders and other serious crimes in different police stations of Bihar, said Uttarakhand STF SSP Senthil Akdai Krishnaraj S while addressing the media on Thursday.
Bihar Government had announced a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head.
Senthil said that Munna Shukla and Prakash Shukla gang had been involving in many murders during the 90s. The gang members had captured the contracts of Central Public Works Department forcibly and made huge profit from it.
