AMU decked up for centenary celebrations

PNS

On the occasion of the Centenary Celebration Program of AMU, AMU is decorated. Every historic building including the administrative block of the university is decorated with colorful lights. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be going to address AMU virtually (online), first time, on 22nd December for which student leaders have started opposing. Also, black flags have been announced by them.

Former Vice-President of AMU Student’s Union, AMU's alumni association Vice President and SP leader Nadeem Ansari, has said that the bloodstains of the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat will always be on the feet of Narendra Modi.

Narendra Modi is stained with the blood of Muslims. Modi's presence will not be tolerated in any way. He said that if the Vice-Chancellor is seeing his personal benefit in this, then he should call him at his residence on Maris Road. He wants to do an online program of a man who is not friendly to Muslims for his interests. If the atmosphere of the university deteriorates due to this program, it will be the responsibility of the university administration.

He further added that if there is anything to be given, first the university should be brought back to the minority status. If this is not done, black flags will be shown at the place where the online program will be held.

At the same time, the other student leader of AMU, Thakur Ajay Singh has expressed happiness that the Prime Minister of the country will join this program online as the chief guest. He praised the AMU Vice Chancellor's effort.

In 1999 also there was such a protest that the HRD minister, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, was not allowed by the students to attend the Roza Iftar party held at the university. Even during the tenure of former Vice-Chancellor Zameer Uddin Shah, BJP MP and AMU Court member Bhola Singh, MP Bharatendu, was not allowed to attend the court meeting. BJP MP Satish Gautam, MP Rajveer Singh Raju Bhaiya were allowed in the meeting after checking their car. So far no BJP MP and Minister have joined any program in AMU.

In the student union elections held during the tenure of former Vice-Chancellor Zameer Uddin Shah, the student leaders made objectionable remarks targeting the HRD Minister Smriti Irani then. As a result, Smriti Irani did not even meet Zameer Uddin Shah in her office. After a long time, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was included in the online program on Sir Syed Day on 17 October in the Corona period.

Rishipal Singh, District President BJP said that PM Modi has always talked about 123 crore people. Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas is his slogan. PM will address the centenary celebrations of AMU on 22 December. It is a matter of pride for all of us. The Prime Minister's address will provide a new direction.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru visited the AMU on 24 January 1948 as Prime Minister in AMU. He then attended the initiation ceremony. Then in 1955, Maulana Azad came to lay the foundation of the library building. Nehru also joined Sir Syed Day in 1962-63.
