Did the underclass vote for the AAPIJ Certainly, many slum-dwellers might have voted for the party, but it surely isn’t the only one to get their votes
Circa 1975 in east Uttar Pradesh, The upper caste cruelty to humanity was rather too pronounced. An upper caste boy aged 10, expect an 80-year-old Dalit to greet him. He also addresses the elderly Dalit by his first name, whereas the latter would address him as Babu Saheb. The elderly upper caste would not counsel their children on how to conduct themselves in public. They are, in fact, encouraged to keep up the appearance of a superior social class. If a Dalit accidentally touched their cooking vessels or plates, the utensils would be discarded. Occasionally, the Dalit will be asked to take the articles to his home. Ironically, if a dog touched or even ate the leftovers off those articles, then they would still be considered usable! Upper caste men have justified untouchability. Dalits would be seated separately in public dinners that the upper caste landlords organised on occasions of weddings. Dalit guests would be asked to throw away the plates made of leaves after they had eaten.
“I am fasting” or “I have just had food” is what the upper caste men would say in a case a Dalit offered them tea or water. The upper castes argue that if a Dalit family maintained hygiene standards, they would not mind sharing meals at their homes. But, what if a Dalit wore new clothesIJ That would be deemed offensive. If a Dalit bought a new bicycle and rode through an upper caste locality, it would be unpleasant too. In fact, if a Dalit used an umbrella in the upper caste zone, it would be all the more distasteful. We have seen elderly Dalits take their shoes off while passing through the upper caste localities. Dalit farm workers were paid so minimally that they depended on the upper caste landlords for everything. In some parts of the country, the upper castes follow a hypothesis that Dalits who are filled the fullest turn lazy at work, hence their food should be rationed.
Upper caste men called the filthiest of names to their farm workers. Citizens born after 1990 and who want to understand how the upper caste criminality against humanity was, should watch the behaviour of the Kejriwals, Shishodias, et al. They are the perfect replicas of the upper castes that lived circa 1975. let us test them on a few yardsticks. The impression of the AAP is incorrect. lying in public has been the upper castes’ weapon for centuries. The AAP went to the polls claiming the highest moral grounds. They claimed to set new standards in Indian politics. What are these principles that the AAP is setting before the nationIJ
The BJP did not get majority and hence decided to sit in the Opposition. But it won more seats than the AAP. The claimants of the high value system, the AAP, jumped to grab power despite the fact it lagged behind the BJP in the Assembly elections. To the AAP, the Congress was the dirtiest political entity on this planet. They are seen as the fountainhead of corruption. Just to taste power, the AAP didn’t hesitate to take support of the Congress. That’s the upper caste character that they displayed circa 1975. Only upper castes are capable of deploying opportunism of this magnitude.
Did the underclass too vote for the AAPIJ Certainly, many slum-dwellers might have voted for the AAP. The question remains: Who voted for the CongressIJ Did the upper castes vote for the CongressIJ Sure enough, some might have voted. Did voters living in mansions and apartments vote for the CongressIJ Sure enough, some might have voted. But, the Congress got 25 per cent of the total votes polled — just five per cent less than the AAP votes. Who these 25 per cent Congress voters are if not the underclass and MuslimsIJ
“What is AAP’s policy on reservations to Dalits/tribalsIJ”! Their response to a news channel was a quintessential upper caste attitude, “We don’t believe in caste and hence, don’t believe in reservations.” Only the upper caste people can say that they don’t believe in reservation. Some might even say: “I didn’t know what my caste is.” Can a Dalit say that he/she didn’t know what their caste wasIJ Why the entire media, bioscopes in particular, turned into the AAP’s campaignersIJ Apologies to the bioscope entertainer that this analogy is used to narrate that the traditional upper caste consciousness is fixed yet rolls to portray the same image endlessly.
