Keeping in tune with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachchh Bharat initiative, Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority Rama Raman on Wednesday launched a specialised citizen-focused ‘Clean Noida Mobile App’ to empower residents to keep the city clean.

Residents can now upload photographs of garbage and other maintenance related issues concerning parks, roads, and drains to alert authorities. The app will also provide information about nearby dumping yards, dustbins and public toilets.

CEO Rama Raman said the mobile app has been designed to cover maximum cleanliness issues faced by the residents. “Besides the problems of sanitation, we have included facilities to provide information about public toilets, their sanitation condition and location, location of garbage collection bins etc which will be located by Google Maps and a person can easily reach there.”

“Clean Noida app will also be integrated with online ‘Noida Citizen Charter’ providing 187 services of the Authority,” He added.

Citizens can download Clean Noida Mobile App from Google Play Store. “After login, people can take a picture of any cleanliness issue and its location and send it to the Noida Authority team with a single click,” CEO said.

“The mobile app will promote a ‘clean city’ by involving people in taking up cleanliness activities in the city. Residents can alert the authority to keep their areas clean and the follow-up action will be taken Authority officials,” Rama Raman said.

CEO also said the Citizen Charter mobile app that was launched on June 2 last year has received a good response from Noida residents. A total of 4,569 people from Noida approached through the app to lodge their civic complaints in last six months.
