The body of a three-year-old child who had gone missing on Friday evening was found in a drain near his residence in Outer Delhi’s Aman Vihar area on Tuesday morning. Though cops have not ruled out abduction-homicide pact, they are also probing if the child had accidentally hurt himself while playing.
Divyanshu was playing outside his residence in Aman Vihar area on Friday evening when he mysteriously went missing. His father works in a hotel in Noida and visited home on Fridays. When the boy didn’t turn up till late evening, his family started looking for him. Police was informed and a case of abduction was registered at Aman Vihar police station. Personnel in nearby districts were intimated and a manhunt was launched. On Tuesday morning, the missing boy’s father noticed a body lying in a drain. He was shocked to find it was his son’s.
Prima facie, the boy was either struck with a blunt heavy object or he accidentally fell and hurt himself. Police officials are waiting for the autopsy report to examine the cause of death.
