Two men brought body in trunk to station
New Delhi: The investigations into the body that was recovered near Anand Vihar Metro station has revealed that she was killed somewhere else and then the body was dumped. The body was found stuffed in a trunk. Police officers said that the ligature marks on her throat suggest a definite pattern. She was apparently strangled to death and then hanged. The CCTV footage obtained from the Metro station shows two men dropping the trunk outside the Metro station. Investigators have the video footage and are now scanning their movements to establish their identity. The East district police have registered a case of murder and are also investigating whether she was sexually assaulted before being murdered. The case is being investigated from all possible angles, a senior police official added.
Vijay not Jolly about Pak ban on Hindi cinema
Following the ban on Indian cinema in Pakistan, BJP's convener for Overseas Affairs Vijay Jolly submitted a memorandum to the Pakistan High Commission against the action. In the letter, Jolly stated, “Popular Bollywood movies promote cross-cultural friendship. The new tax regime proposed by your Government is the real stumbling block. The adjustable withholding tax levied on all foreign films and TV serials have paved way for fake papers and black market. Rather you should ban the pirated film copies.” He further went on to say that although Pakistan had banned Hindi films between 1965 to 2008, prominent Indian films even after that period were not given clearance by the Pakistan Film Censor Board. “Many Pakistanis watch Bollywood films as they understand Hindi due to its linguistic similarity to Urdu,” Jolly said.
