Bhorgarh plot: June 30 deadline to clear dues

Officials said there are more than 1,500 allottees who are yet to pay the cost of the plots at Bhorgarh, also known as Bawana Phase II. "On the representations from various allottees and associations, the Corporation has decided to give one last and final chance for making the payments with usual interest. In this regard, individual notices to all defaulters have also been issued and the list has also been displayed on the Corporation's website. This is the last opportunity for depositing the full cost with interest, failing which allotments shall stand cancelled without further correspondence in this regard, as notice for cancellations have already been served on such defaulters," he added.

Bidhuri says SDMs misused DlR Act
Nationalist Congress Party Election Committee Chairman and former MlA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has demanded that the Delhi Government should immediately return all lands "illegally" vested in ‘Gram Sabha' from thousands of farmers of urban villages under Section 81 of the Delhi land Reforms (DlR) Act and also withdraw all the proceedings against these farmers in the courts of the Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) or face an agitation. In a statement, Bidhuri said that the SDMs have misused the DlR Act and had illegally vested their lands in Gram Sabha. "Even, many of farmers and people living in these villages were hoisted with thousands of cases in the SDM courts affecting almost two lakh people of urban villages. "It is shocking that the SDMs do not even know that Section 81 of the DlR Act does not apply to urban villages. For instance, in Madanpur Khadar and Jasola SDM courts, 700 such cases are on against farmers," he said.
