Reverence grips Kedarnath

PNS

The glaciers en route and the steep climb to Kedarnath from lincholi did not deter the enthusiasm of devotees fuelled by faith to the shrine on the day of its reopening for the public. Though the number of devotees from Uttarakhand was comparatively less on Friday, there were many devotees from Maharashtra, South Indian States, Haryana and Delhi among other States.

Amon Goswami who reached Kedarnath from Assam, said that he was aware of the difficult conditions on the route but his anxiety on this front overcame by his desire to visit Kedarnath.

Shiva Swami and Nishi Singh who arrived here from Maharashtra opined that there are still some problems on the route to Kedarnath which should be resolved.
