Entries are being invited for the eighth edition of the Wild Wisdom Quiz, an initiative of WWF-India, scheduled to roll out across schools with the city level finals slated for September 2 in Dehradun followed by the national final for the middle school level to be held in October this year.

The quiz aims to provide students an opportunity to delve deeper into the wildlife of the country, build their interest towards the rich natural legacy and inspire them to work towards its conservation.

Keeping in tune with United Nation’s declaration of 2015 as the ‘International Year of the Soil’, this year’s quiz will highlight the importance and conservation of soil.

The quiz will test children’s aptitude and knowledge on soil, minerals, evolution, climate change and sustainability, apart from issues of Indian wildlife and global biodiversity.

he quiz is open for students of classes III to XII in three categories- junior school, middle school and high school. Registrations for junior and middle schools are open till August 17 while the high school quiz, which is an online version, is open till October 15.  The city level finals will be held on September 2 at Rashtriya Indian Military College in Dehradun. Schools will have to register themselves on  http://quiz.wwfindia.org/wwq/index.html for participation.

The national final for the middle school will be held on October 7 in New Delhi. The winners of the Wild Wisdom Quiz 2015 will be taken on an adventure trip to a national park. Apart from getting an opportunity to live amidst nature, the students will also take part in multiple adventure sports during this trip.
