Meanwhile, Sameer’s father KN Sardana, a retired Army officer, came down heavily on police on Thursday again, saying that they had arrested his innocent son with an intention to win accolades. Soon after his son was arrested on Wednesday, the former Army officer has said that Sameer had been falsely implicated in the case. Repeating the same, he said through a Press release issued on Thursday that Sameer had inadvertently become a victim of a mistaken identity. “A real terrorist somewhere in Goa perhaps has escaped. The police have lost a trophy,” he said.
