The Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast very light to light rainfall/snowfall at places located in higher altitudes of four districts - Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Chamoli on Thursday. Dry Weather is expected to prevail in the rest of the state. The Met office has forecast very light to light rainfall/snowfall in higher reaches of the above stated districts from March 4 evening to March 6.
Dehradun residents have been experiencing warmer days for some days now. While the daytime temperatures remain warm, the temperature dip experienced after sun down requires people to wear warm clothing in the morning hours and after the evening. State meteorological centre director Bikram Singh said that the weather forecast for Dehradun on Thursday is partly cloudy sky with haze. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30ºC and 14ºC, respectively, in Dehradun on Thursday. From February 4 evening to February 6, very light to light rainfall/snow has been forecast high reaches above 3500 metres in above four districts. Singh attributed this to western disturbances. Due to rainfall/show in high reaches on said dates, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to dip by few degrees in the state. He informed that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 29.1ºC and 14.1ºC in Dehradun while it was 20.0ºC and 8.8ºC in Tehri, 19.7ºC and 6.5ºC in Mukteshwar and 30.5ºC and 10.9ºC in Pantnagar on Wednesday.
