With the advent of the monsoon season not far now, the MCD has started the pre-monsoon clearing of drains in the provisional state capital.
Informing about this, the additional municipal commission Neeraj Joshi said “We have already divided our team and started the cleaning of drains in the city with the start of this month.The work will be a continuous process so that local people do not face any problems during the rains," he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that clogged drains are one of the major reasons for overflowing and water logging experienced often during the rains in various parts of the city.
