To express solidarity among party leaders, BJP had tried to bring their senior leaders on one dais, but differences within the BJP are visible.
For instance when ex-CM and Garhwal MP Maj Gen Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri came to dais, State BJP president Teerath Singh Rawat and ex-CM Dr Nishank were missing from the scene. Gen Khanduri, who is known for his punctuality, did not wait for other leaders and left the dais.
When BJP candidate Trivendra Singh Rawat finished his address, then Dr Nishank along with State president Teerath entered the venue. During his address, Dr Nishank said that Chief Minister Harish Rawat has run away from the Doiwala because he realised that Doiwala has large number of BJP supporters.
He further said that after general election-2014, "two assembly seats, namely Someshwar and Doiwala, were vacated by the BJP MPs, namely Ajay Tamta and me, so the Chief Minister had got a chance to contest election from Doiwala, but he prefer to contest election from safe seat and now contesting from Dharchula, which was vacated by the Congress MlA.
By doing this, CM Rawat has ascertain our claim that Doiwala voters are with BJP and you deserve round of applause for this, but he did not appeal people to vote for BJP candidate Trivendra Singh Rawat."
BJP MlAs including Prem Chand Aggrwal (Rishikesh) Mahaveer Singh Rangad (Dhanolti), Sahdev Pundir (Sahaspur), Harbans Kapur (Cant MlA), Ganesh Joshi (Mussoorie), and Pushkar Singh Dhami (Khatima) and ex-MlAs Suresh Jain, Kuldeep Kumar, Khajan Das and Matbar singh Kandari were present at the venue.Ex-MlA Munna Singh Chouhan along with his wife and outgoing Dehradun District Panchayat President Madhu Chauhan, had also shared the dais with the candidate at Doiwala.
Besides it, State BJP office bearer state BJP Assistant Media in-charge Virendra Singh Bisht, spokesperson Umesh Aggrawal, Prakash Suman Dhyani and other senior officials were present there.

Although youths were disappointed when they knew that only Rs 100 worth petrol is being filled in one bike, they were seen standing in queue for a second turn
When Trivendra Singh Rawat filed six sets of nomination paper, SDM gave a copy to be read as oath, but two-time MlA Rawat returned the oath copy after signing and SDM asked him to read the oath and he read it To avoid media attention and to provide lunch to the BJP supporters without making dent in candidate expenditure limit, BJP had organised community kitchen at Mata Mai temple, where BJP supporters who were brought in several buses, were seen having their lunch
