14-yearr-old rajpur girl commits suicide
Dehradun: A 14-year-old, girl who was studying in Class VII at Government Inter College, Gujrara (Sahastradhara Road) committed suicide by hanging herself from a noose tied to the ceiling fan on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as a Rajpur resident, Rajkumari. The Rajpur Police Station in-charge Pradeep Kumar Rana said that police was informed at 6 am on Tuesday about the incident after which a police team reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem examination.
Rana said that according to deceased’s father Kamal Thapa, after having her dinner on Monday, Rajkumari went to her room and locked the door from inside. When Thapa knocked the door on Tuesday morning, she did not reply. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan after the door of the room was broken, he added.
