The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Saturday hit back at AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal for what it called “enacting drama” of writing letter to CEO for withdrawal of security cover from him and said that that he should desist from playing cheap and dirty politics.
In a reply, SAD Secretary and Spokesman Daljit Singh Cheema said that it was strange that Kejriwal was enjoying highest level of security cover for himself but number of times letters were written on his behalf to the state government to provide enhanced security to him whenever he visits Punjab. He said that keeping in view his security was enhanced by the State Government before announcement of polls in the state and it was duly informed to the Delhi Government.
Cheema said now when poll process was on in the state, he was playing cheap and dirty politics of urging withdrawing his security and trying to malign the image of the state for non issues.
The SAD leader said that Kejriwal has sensed defeat of the party at the hands of Punjabis and now was resorting to this type of “drama politics”.
