A day after Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal stated that “external forces” were responsible for the current situation in the state, Congress Deputy leader in the lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh on Tuesday suggested him to stop searching excuses for his own failures.
“But what is your government doing and why are you playing into their hands,” asked Capt Amarinder.
The former Chief Minister said that while the facts about sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib are yet to be ascertained, what is certain is that Badal and his government failed to take action at the right moment.
“First, it was paralysed by inaction and later it was guilty of overreaction,” he observed.
