Chandigarh: In premier beauty and wellness products online since 2012, Nykaa.com is now gearing to focus Punjab as its next marketing destination.An entrepreneurial dream of Falguni Nayar, a former banker and an alumni of IIM Ahmedabad, Nykaa.com claims to be the largest multi brand premier beauty and wellness products online marketing company in India. “ We are expecting a four fold increase in business in the near future and Punjab will now be the focuss of attention as people are beauty conscious, have taste for branded products and are technology savvy to order online for quick delivery,” said Nayar here on Wednesday. A retail store is planned in Chandigarh to be followed by one in Punjab's industrial hub ludhiana.
NEW WOMEN CPS ASSUME THEIR OFFICE
Chandigarh: Newly appointed Chief Parliament Secretary Sukhjit Kaur Sahi and Seema Kumari assumed their charge on Wednesday at Punjab Civil Secretariat. Punjab BJP President and Union Minster Vijay Sampla was present. Food and Civil Supply Minister Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, Assistant Media Advisor to Government of Punjab Vineet Joshi and MlA Ashwani Kumar were also present on the occasion.
HARYANA CM CONDOlES DEATH OF mawasi ram
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar lal, has expressed grief over the sad demise of freedom fighter, Mawasi Ram. He was 102. He is survived by two sons who served the Indian Army, four daughters, two grandsons and two great-grandsons. The Chief Minister described him a great freedom fighter who on motivation by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose joined the Indian National Army. Mawasi Ram was born in 1914 and reached Japan in 1939 after being recruited by the British Army. There, he joined the Indian National Army and fought for India’s independence. He was jailed on multiple occasions and retired in 1945.
HIPA TO HOST TRAINING FOR CIVIl SERVANTS
Chandigarh: The ‘Regional Symposium on Excellence in Training’ for Civil Servants from Northern India will be organized at Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Gurgaon on May 6. It is for the first time that such a regional symposium is being organized in Haryana by HIPA. Director General of HIPA S.P. Gupta said that Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar lal would inaugurate the symposium.
INElIGIBlE FOR CONTEST CANNOT BE EC member
Chandigarh: In view of the General Elections to Municipalities, Haryana State Election Commission has directed that no person would be eligible to propose a candidate who is ineligible for election as a member of that committee. A written communication to this effect has been sent to all Deputy Commissioners to bring it to the notice of all Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers immediately.
