Renovated ESI Hospital inaugurated
GT Devegowda, Minister for Higher Education, Govt. Of Karnataka & District in-charge Minister and Venkataramanappa, Minister for Labour, Govt. of Karnataka inaugurated the Renovated ESI Hospital, Mysore (Karnataka) in the august presence of Prathap Simha, Member of Parliament, R Dhruvanarayana, Member of Parliament and LR Shivarame Gowda, Member of Parliament, L Nagendra, MLA presided over the function.

As a follow up to International Aviation Security Seminar- 2018, organised by CISF, a delegation of CISF led by Rajesh Ranjan , DG, CISF along-with MA Ganapathy, Additional Director General, Airport Sector and Ajay Kumar, AIG (APS) attended Global Aviation Security Symposium (AVSEC 2018) organised by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Headquarters, Montreal (Canada) from 27th to 28th November, 2018. The theme of symposium was — AVSEC Information sharing — “The Need to know”.
Alka Mittal takes charge as Director (HR), ONGC
Alka Mittal has joined as Director (HR) of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited today. A post graduate in Economics, MBA (HRM) and Doctorate in Commerce and Business Studies, she joined ONGC as a Graduate Trainee in 1985 and brings with her an extremely rich experience spanning over three decades. She is on the Board of ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (OMPL) as ONGC nominee Director since August 2015.
Vellore IIT to host momen badminton tournament
Vellore Institute of Technology will host the annual South Zone inter-university badminton tournament for women and also the All India inter-zone badminton tournament for women. Women students from over 82 universities from all over South India, including Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu will be taking part in the inter-university competitions that will commence on December 4.
SR Narasimhan new Director of POSOCO
SR Narasimhan joined the Board of Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) as Director (System Operation) on Thursday. Prior to this assignment, he was Executive Director, National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) responsible for reliable and economic operation of the All India electricity grid which is also connected to the neighbouring countries of Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
