Brain Stormer: India Demands Assertive 'Moditva'

Pioneer

Why Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared defensive and apologetic while giving interview to Arnab GoswamiIJ The man who has brought hope and promised to bring ‘parivartan’ and ‘vikas’ to a nation reeling pathetically under declining Gandhi’s needs to surge ahead. So far whatever his Government has done, it shows clear signals of transformation from the morass created by the previous UPA regime mostly controlled by Madam Sonia from behind. Unlike the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who had always maintained a mystical silence, now Modi speaks regularly to his countrymen about the failures and successes of his Government.

late Prime Minister Narasimha Rao had the courage to dismantle the ‘license raj’ and started the country’s long journey from an economic basket case to an economic power house. Unfortunately, being an uncharismatic politician and owing his job much to Sonia Gandhi, he could never break the shackles of the Gandhi family and make a strong connect to the public. Unlike Rao and Manmohan Singh (who was also made to serve the Gandhis), Modi who is relentlessly working for making India a great place for doing business does have no one masterminding him, except the trust and hope of crores of Indians who had voted for him, waiting for the ‘acche din’ to come.

It is time now Prime Minister Modi must come open about the success of his Government and let people know more assertively how committed he is for transforming India. It is the right moment for the country to know that India needs many more GST’s and people must out rightly reject the partisan tactics played by Congress in Parliament. His ‘Mann ki Baat’ can well be used for explaining the people how the Nehruvian ‘license raj’ created an illusion for years in the name of bringing a welfare state and how it finally brought nothing but corruption, cronyism and red-tapism which benefitted only a few till yesterday.

Still India is featuring globally only at the bottom in ease of doing business. His Government must initiate prompt actions for making a friendly atmosphere for business and surely prevent the officials not to crush the private enterprises anymore. It is seriously felt that the Prime Minister is not speaking forcefully enough and the country demands more of an ‘assertive Moditva’ once again.
