The World Heart Day was observed at the Department of Cardiac Science, KIMS here in association with Cardiology Society of India (CSI), Odisha Chapter on Friday.
Eminent cardiologist Dr JP Das said it is very important to know how to prevent heart diseases. The doctors treating heart patients must have adequate knowledge and time for the purpose.
Dr HN Mishra and Prof Mathur said common people should be made aware about the heart ailments. An Odia reference book Hrutpinda ra Katha O Byatha written by Dr Panchanan Sahoo was released. Many more eminent doctors spoke on the occasion.
