The Commissionerate police on Thursday arrested three persons on the charge of collecting Rs 15,000 each from the retrenched ANMs, who have been sitting on dharna at the Lower PMG here, on the pretext of providing them appointment letters for ANM posts.Reportedly, an inquiry was conducted by the police based on an audio clip conversation between one K Aswini Dora and one Bharati Pradhan relating to collection of Rs 15, 000 from each ANM agitating for job regularisation. After the probe, it was ascertained that a conspiracy was hatched by Aswini Dora of Pandiapathar under the Aska PS, Santosh Kumar Sahu of Tarsingh PS area and Rajkishore Achari of Kabisurjyanagar of Ganjam to collect Rs 1 crore from the ANMs. The cops also seized mobile phones, in which the conversation was made and Rs 21,000 cash from the arrested fraudsters’ possession.
