State exchequer is not BJD property: BJP

PNS

The BJP on Saturday alleged that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has adopted a planned way to befool people by dismissing corrupt leaders for some time and then taking them back to his BJD.

“The Chief Minister has expelled many leaders in the past on charges of corruption and also taken them back later. It is an act of befooling people. Due to corruption, the State exchequer loses money, which belongs to people of Odisha only. If the BJD thinks it owns the State exchequer, it is certainly a daydream of the ruling party. The BJP will raise voice against it,” said BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty.

Mohanty stated this in a reaction to a BJD spokesperson’s allegation that the BJP is taking political mileage out of quarrel between ruling party leaders.

He further alleged the BJD promotes corruption as many of its MLAs, who are involved in chit fund scams, are managing party affairs now.
