Excise police, with the assistance of local police, conducted raids in landigiri village surrounded by forests under the Odanga police station and destroyed ganja worth Rs 2 crore on Thursday.
However, no arrest was made in the case.
According to a senior Excise official, ganja cultivation was undertaken on about 5 acres of land. “Ganja cultivation was undertaken here in a planned manner. We destroyed the hemps by burning them,” added the official.
He also added that search operation is on to trace out the persons who had undertaken the cultivation.
