Expressing love and affection towards own land and the utility of own soil, for whose safeguard the country witnessed many sacrifices, a poetry book Matimoha written by young writer Abhaya Kumar Jena, a senior faculty of English at the Gouri Shankar English Medium School here, was released at a function here recently.
Guests former bureaucrat Kelu Charan Swain, president of the Niladrivihar Youth & Cultural Association, released the book and applauded the effort of the young writer.
Former Professor of Odia of Utkal University Sanghamitra Mishra praised the 25 poetic items describing the day-to-day life, love and betrayal, village and mother, mythological characters, etc.
Among others, proud sons of the writer’s village Samir Kumar Rout, Hemanta Kumar Sahoo, Srikanta Pradhan, Narottam Paital and Sabita Sethy were present.
