Delhi-based journalist Abhijit Iyer Mitra on Saturday submitted an affidavit before the House Committee of the State Assembly over breach of privilege of the legislators.
He deposed before the panel for the third time for the probe into allegation over insulting the Assembly and its members.
A further course of action would be decided by the panel headed by Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra after discussions among the committee members.
Though Mitra had earlier apologised to the House Committee for is derogatory remarks against the MLAs, the panel had asked him to be present before it again on Saturday and submit an affidavit in this regard.
Mitra is currently lodged in the Jharpada jail here after being arrested also for his alleged derogatory remarks against Odisha culture and the Sun Temple in Konark.
