A three-day international conference on ‘Innovative Application of Chemistry in Pharmacology and Technology’ began at the Berhampur University on Friday. Attending the event as the chief guest, Professor of the University of Hyderabad Mariappan Periasamy said special focus should be given on biochemistry research to ensure that it helps people further. Particularly, research on manufacturing of medicines with no side effects should be given more emphasis, he added.
Berhampur University Vice-Chancellor Deepak Behera stressed on the need for more research on many hidden information. Besides, University Chemistry Department head Prof Sunakar Panda shared some information relating to manufacturing of medicines on the basis of biochemistry research results. A total 390 representatives from various universities attended the conference.
