Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday dedicated to the people the State Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur stretch of the Biju Expressway at a function held at Panchapada High School ground here. The 163-km-long road has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore.
After inaugurating the Biju Expressway, the CM spoke to a public gathering that the expressway from Rourkela to Sambalpur is being funded purely by the money of Odisha people as the Government of Odisha has spent Rs 3,000 crore for it.
So, it is an Odisha's development in the money of Odisha people. Naveen further said that the expressway has brought golden age of communication for the people of western Odisha. later, speaking to media, Naveen said he was glad to inaugurate the Biju Expressway.
