Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani and local MLA Priyadarshi Mishra conducted groundbreaking for construction of a railway over-bridge (ROB) at the VSS Nagar level-crossing here on Thursday.
The groundbreaking done on behalf of the Works Department was coordinated by the department’s Sub-Division Officer Ramakanta Mishra and Assistant Engineer Ramesh Chandra Sahoo. VSS Nagar Railway Over Bridge Sangram Samiti president Krushna Chandra Sahoo, VSS Nagar Unnany Parishad vice-president Er Siba Prasad Mishra, general secretary Dillip Dashsharma, treasurer Maheshwar Bishwal, Senior Citizens’ Committee secretary Dr Kumuda Mishra, Durga Puja Committee president Artatrana Dalai and general secretary Sheetal Chandra Mohanty provided support.
A total of Rs 48 crore has been sanctioned for the over-bridge and its construction would be completed in one-and-a-half-year time, informed the MLA.
